We do NOT collect, transmit, sell, or store your personal resume information on any external servers. We utilize standard device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID) solely for application analytics, performance monitoring, and advertising via trusted Google services.

Welcome to Europass CV Maker ("the Application", "we", "our", or "us"). We value your privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal information you input while building your resume and curriculum vitae.

This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your information, what device identifiers and permissions are utilized, and your rights concerning your data in accordance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2. Information Collection & Storage

Our application is designed so that your professional resume content is created and maintained locally on your device without requiring account registration.

A. Personal CV Information (Processed Strictly Locally)

When you create or edit a resume, you may enter the following data into the app:

Personal Identity: Full Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Profile Photo.
Contact Information: Email address, Phone number, Website/Portfolio URL, LinkedIn URL, Physical address (Street, City, Postal Code, Country).
Professional Details: Professional Summary/Profile, Work Experiences (Job Titles, Employers, Dates, Descriptions).
Education & Qualifications: Degrees, Institutions, Fields of Study, Dates, Grades.
Skills & Competencies: Digital/Technical Skills, Mother Tongues, Foreign Languages & CEFR proficiencies, Driving Licences.
Additional CV Sections: Projects, Certifications, Publications, Volunteering, Awards, Memberships, Conferences, References, and Custom Sections.

Storage: All the above resume information is saved strictly within the private local storage sandbox of your device (in JSON format and cached image files). It is never transmitted across the network to our developers or any third party.

B. Automatically Collected Information & Device Identifiers (Analytics & Performance)

To ensure application stability, understand user engagement, optimize features, and support app maintenance, we collect certain non-sensitive technical data and device identifiers:

Google Advertising ID (AAID / GAID): We access the standard Google Advertising ID via the AD_ID permission. This identifier is used for analytics, app diagnostic measurement, and advertising attribution.
App Analytics & Usage Metrics: Through Firebase Analytics, we collect aggregated information including screen navigation events, button interactions, session duration, and feature adoption.
Technical & Diagnostics Data: Device model, operating system version, app version, language/locale settings, and crash reports.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below)	Storage	Used on legacy Android versions to save exported PDF resumes and JSON backups directly to your Downloads or public Documents directory.

Note: You can grant or revoke optional permissions at any time via your device's Settings > Apps > Europass CV Maker > Permissions.

4. Third-Party Services & SDKs

We integrate reputable third-party SDKs provided by Google LLC to support analytics, remote configuration, and advertising:

Google Firebase Analytics: Used to track anonymous usage statistics and app interaction events to improve user experience. Firebase Analytics utilizes the Google Advertising ID and app instance identifiers. (Google Privacy Policy)
Google Firebase Remote Config: Used to dynamically configure app parameters and ensure stability across varying Android versions and devices.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to display in-app advertisements. AdMob may process the Advertising ID and device information for ad serving and frequency capping in compliance with applicable laws and consent choices. (Google Ads Privacy & Terms)
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Facilitates user consent management in compliance with GDPR, ePrivacy, and Google Play policies.
Google Fonts: Provides typography styling for resume layouts.

Important: None of these third-party services have access to your resume contents, personal CV details, uploaded photos, or generated PDF documents.

5. User Choices & Managing Advertising ID

You have full control over your data, consent preferences, and device advertising identifiers:

Resetting or Deleting Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your device's Google Advertising ID at any time via Android Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID (or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
In-App Privacy Preferences: If you are located in regions requiring consent (e.g., EEA/UK), you can update your consent choices anytime via the in-app Settings > Privacy Preferences.
Editing & Deleting Individual CVs: You can edit or delete any CV entry directly from the application's dashboard. Deletion permanently removes the corresponding JSON file and associated photo from local storage.
Complete Data Erasure: You can wipe all app data at once by navigating to your Android Settings > Apps > Europass CV Maker > Storage > Clear Data, or by uninstalling the application.
Data Portability: You can export your data anytime as a standardized JSON backup file or as a printable/shareable PDF document.

6. Security of Your Data

We implement the following measures to ensure the security and privacy of your data:

Sandboxed App Directory: Your CV files and cropped photos are stored in Android's isolated internal storage directory, which cannot be accessed by other unprivileged apps on your device.
No Remote Vulnerabilities: Because there are no backend databases, user accounts, or server API endpoints, your CV data is not susceptible to remote server data breaches.

7. Children's Privacy

Our application is intended for job seekers, students, and professionals creating curriculum vitae. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or process personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has created content on a shared device, all such data can be instantly removed by clearing app storage.
